Where Passion Meets Education

 I strongly believe  all students can learn, will learn and can rise above all adversities!  I began my educational career twenty years ago as a paraprofessional supporting at-risk students in a community day school.  Here, I was inspired and encouraged by my students to pursue a teaching career.  I obtained my Bachelor's Degree from California State University, Bakersfield and went on to pursue a multiple subject teaching credential.  Because of my strong passion in educational choice , I began teaching in a charter school serving at-risk students.  The road has been challenging, but I feel proud of having graduated and inspired many students to pursue their high school diploma and continue to be lifelong learners.  For the past seven years, I've served in administrative positions as Assistant Principal and Principal for the same charter school I fell in love with fifteen years ago.  I have my Administrative Credential and have completed Educational Administration coursework through National University.  I'm the proud mother of three  grown children and love spending time reading, self-reflecting and taking on new adventures.
